Am I the only person who is sick of the tiniest tweak to an iphone or the new gaming console from Google being reported as technology news? They are not revolutions, they are not news. The PR machines of those companies have the BBC as well as commercial channels eating from the palm of their hand.
Products need to be marketed at the expense of the seller, not the state (us)
Google announced something that is potentially revolutionary for the entire gaming industry and could well define the future of gaming

Pretty big news

The BBC have fallen a long way since they changed the name of TC - Top Cat, to Boss Cat and made Ray Davies change Coca Cola to Cherry Cola in Lola (el oh, el ay; Lola) was farcical even back then.
Yet their placement of totally unknown pop songs in their Family Favouites request program under the guise of real requests is legendary.
#institutionalised hypocrisy

Do what? The channels are not being paid, they are filling in space instead of paying journalists to do a proper job.
It was a quotation from the last Alan Partridge episode where Alan was trying to sting Monty Don into agreeing on product placement on the BBC. At the offer of a billion, Monty relented and Alan proved his point that everyone has his price.

If you ain't seen the episode, some if the responses here would just look mad(der than usual). lol

Don't know enough about gaming to comment, but it is not just that is it? It is every time one of those organisations coughs!
