Exemplifies true talent rather than pushing money about, which seems to be the only plan with the current objectionable conservative party. Rees Mogg and his ilk are the devil incarnate. Will vote for anybody who backs the TRUE talent in this country

Superb character. Saw progs about him as a kid growing up, with my dad. Just been Re-watching them on YouTube this week, coincidentally.

If more were like him and they were rewarded in a proper meritocracy this country would be number one and his like would be paid footballer's wages.

Sadly such characters today are becoming vilified and ripped apart by social media foghorns for not doing the washing up while the missus protects her nails.

Always thought that Isambard Kingdom Brunel would have been a right sort too. And all the great generation of ‘engineers’ who were instrumental in the Industrial Revolution.

Top bloke got his autograph and had a chat with him at the Dorset steam fair about 25yrs ago, he was moaning about his wife taking him to the cleaners with a divorce though it didn't dampen his enthusiasm for the steam engines.
By the way the Dorset steam fair at Blanford is a fantastic spectacle whether you like steam engines or not.
