Totti stands up for women's football.

Roma captain Francesco Totti has has spoken out against recent comments against women’s football and has given his support following the alleged discrimination, stating everyone is equal.

The head of the Italian National Amateur League, Felice Belloli, supposedly made sexists and prejudiced comments towards women’s football when discussing funding for the sport in the country, and has since sparked outrage causing many to give their view on the matter, including the captain of the capital side.

Writing on his website francescototti.com, Totti declared his stance towards the issue, stating that football is to be loved and enjoyed by all.

“Sport belongs to everyone: men, women, children and especially to people with disabilities,” the statement opened.

“Football is the motor of sport in Italy and the respect given to women’s football has to be the exact same that is given to men.

“We are all part of the same family, the family which is the best sport in the world.”

Very hard to handle the final years of a club legend like Totti.

Fans will turn against the manager very quickly. Totti should Behave, though...he should know better...player has to stay at his place...not even a legend like him can become too big...he can destroy his legacy by being a tit. I hope he doesnt.
