It's a massive industry that will ensure our supplies for a good few years. The States and Aussies have gone into it big time, surprising it's taken us so long to catch up. There's sure plenty of scaremongering with videos of gas coming out of your taps. Sure maybe in the US midwest but not many here have their own water well.

This, but what do I care, the nearest one to me is 500Km out in the bush and I don't have gas any way

Safer to open a few of our good coal mines Thatcher closed and then clean the coal for top energy - instead of importing cheap EU coal!
