Me & Mrs R have kept ex battery hens for ages. Met her for a bit of lunch today. Came home, and a flaming fox had taken 3 chucks. Fekkin hate them.:@

I know how you feel. I bought a couple of eggs from a farm, incubated them, watched the chicks grow. And then one day a fox gets into the pen. One chicken had its neck broken on the floor and the other one had vanished. Up to this day I have no idea where it is.

Is it the foxes fault for scavenging, for finding a way round defences made by man, its called nature, not nice but fact

You need to be more cunning than the wily old fox, if you have tghe chickens in a pen then you need to have it fox-proof, if the floor of it had chicken wire below the surface then the fox wouldn't be able to get in.

You've got to take the key off it as well, you know what they are like!

I love KFC and foxes are about the coolest animals out there. Sorry Mr R but in this story I'm all on the side of the crafty furry cutie
