How have we come to the point where we have just one quality forward player, and he is quality maybe 3 times a season, injured 20 times a season and distinctly average / uninterested for the remaining 15 games ? The back up is supplied by supersub Velios who may turn out to be good but should for the moment be banging them in for Notts County or similar, and Denis Argie who's level I can't quite determine but is certainly nowhere near even Championship.

The Yak scores as many in 90 mins as our leading scorer has all season.

Regardless of the financial restraints we are under it should never have come to this.

I've watched Everton for 40 years and remember the heady days of Bernie Wright, Joe Harper, Alan Biley, Brett Angell and more, but the current forward options are the worst i can remember by far.

Yesterday was one of the most depressing days I have ever spent watching the blues. One forward out of his depth marked by 3 centre halves and a mid-field 5 that couldn't find the space to play even one penetrative pass in 90 mins.

This was obvious to everyone watching but Moyes did nothing about it

When he brought Strac on for Vellios I nearly cried

one man to blame moyes if he could get away with it he would play 10 defenders out field he sometimes does
all the strikers he got in they were all not to bad untill they came to Everton.

Good post. Yes it smacks of disbelief when one of the leagues best paid managers cannot see that. The only positive thing was that he did not throw on Neville when we were chasing the game. Had that happenend I think I would have thrown down my laptop in anger.

One of the fella's at my work summed it up best for me. "Think of all those people sitting in Goodison, cold as feck watching Everton get one shot on goal all game and getting stuffed by Stoke. I'd have left before half time"

Somethings got to change.

add to that the prospect of doing the same for the rest of the season, and it really is depressing.
