Reports are coming in that another shooter has gone on the rampage at Fort Hood Military Base in Texas. Multiple fatalities apparently.

Same thing happened at the same base in 2009

Words fail me. The world has gone wacko

The availabilty of guns to people being treated for mental illness kind of pokes a massive hole in the right to bear arms viewpoint.

Thoughts with the families, of the victims and the gunman, who'll have to live with the stigmata of his actions. A sad, sad story all round.

There are some shocking things going on out there. It doesn't seem to have had much media attention at all, but the killings happening in Nigeria and CAR are absolutely horrific. Leaves you lost for words.

Out of order that post. I'm not a big fan of this sort of thread because of the direction it will inevitably take.

Thoughts are with the families of those military personnel who had already given so much serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
