Last 15/16 years of their managers from Koeman on - well and truly found out when they leave that club:

Koeman - sacked three times in the last decade
Blind - one of the worst national managers in Dutch history
Ten Cate - sacked by Panathinaikos, a Dubai team and a Chinese outfit
Van Basten - sacked by Heerenveen and AZ
Jol - sacked by Fulham, goes to manage an Egyptian club and resigns after a season.
De Boer - sacked by Inter Milan, sacked by Crystal Palace
Bosz - sacked today by Dortmund.

That is some record of failure and tells a story about the quality available in the dugout there.

It's the same, if not lower standard as the SPL.

Well Ajax did get to a Europa League final last season.Although i fear it was a once off.Koeman was a dud of an Everton manager, but he has achieved a lot more as a manager, than Mr Martinez.Dutch football is on the slide, and this seasons Eredivisie champions, will have to play a qualifier, to get through to next seasons champions league group stage.I still think the best of the Netherlands would beat, the best of Scotland, 99 times out of a 100.Ajax did knock out Lyon and Schalke last year. But yeah all in all, the standards in Dutch football, are at an all time low.

Well, Celtic and Rangers have done the same each within the last 15 years - indeed, Ajax are the only Dutch side to make the final in that same span of time.

I can't split them really. Holland perhaps has the slightly more depth of quality but it's a coin toss really in terms of which league is the most gash.

...but Ajax did get to last seasons EL final which is no mean achievement.

And as well as the big three of Ajax PSV and Feyenoord.FC Twente and Az Alkmaar have won the Eredivisie in recent seasons.Compare to that to Scotland were the last club outside of the old firm to win the league, was Aberdeen in the early 80's.At least the eredivisie has been competitive in recent years.Unlike the scottish one donkey race league!

To be fair to van Basten, he has had issues with stress and anxiety and had the courage to say so publicly which was difficult in such a macho sport and helps others in the same position.

I can totally relate as a fellow sufferer.

Management as in being in charge just wasn’t for him and he said so rather than just take the money and job swap.

I had great respect for his honesty and what a superb player, one of the most natural goalscorers ever.

They got to the Europa League last 16 with Van Basten. They did it the long way as well, without dropping out of the Champions League.Things didn't work out for Peter Bosz at Dortmund, but i still rate him as a manager. He took Ajax to a Europa League final and they beat some good teams on the way.Ideally i would like to see Bosz back at Ajax.He only left because of a bust up with Dennis Bergkamp and another member of the Ajax backroom team. The board backed Bergkamp and his friend, so he quit. But Marcel Keizer the current manager is doing an alright job at the moment.I still think Frank De Boer is far from finished as a manager. So @davek might be eating his words in due course!

While i sort of agree with your sentiments.Ronald Koeman and Martin Jol have better managerial CV's than Roberto Martinez.Martin Jol has three Dutch cups to his name. His Hamburg team reached the semi finals of the Europa League.Oh and Jol left that Egyptian club side over fears for his own safety.Peter Bosz for example took an Ajax team to a Europa League final.Frank De Boer was in charge of an Ajax team that beat Barcelona.I sincerely doubt that Martinez will ever scale such heights, when he returns to club level management.
