Haven't got a smartphone so can't post pictures but I'm off round the Pub in a minute to have a load of Guinness and a few Jameson's and a good discussion with my two older brothers and some Evertonian mates.#ForHoward.

We are all devastated and saddened by the news that the legendary Howard Kendall died today. Locals will know that Howard was something of a permanent fixture in Woodies - the bar stool on the far left was his - a glass of rose cava in hand and surrounded by friends having a good laugh. For about half a second I thought this was in support of the American fraud Howard instead of the legend in the most absolute sense Howard.

Amazing how something which is 'just a game' really makes you feel like you've lost a family member. Only met Howard once very briefly but in that time I can now see why he's so sorely missed by so many people, it's not just because of his success at Everton, it's because of his success as a person.

I haven't drank alcohol since I was 18, but I'll find a bottle Rose Cava, I'll have a glass and dedicate it to Howard when I'm home from work tonight.

R.I.P boss.
