Where do you stand on this?

Personally I'm still not keen on Pienaar, if you refuse to play in a Merseyside derby you shouldn't be welcomed back with open arms. Yeah he changed our season when he came back on loan but all was forgiven too easy for my liking.

Same with Lescott, linked with him this window and people are excited (were) to have him back yet he let us down when he left.

I'd never want Rooney back, ever.

I agree with not wanting Rooney back, what he did when he kissed the badge was tantamount to murder. I mean so what if he was an 18 year old lad and was getting vile abuse from thousands of fans of the club he'd supported since he was a boy, he should have known better, after all he was 18 at which age most lads are completely grown up. It's a joke really, he should be sent down for life. He kissed United's badge, it probably just pips Mugabe's actions in Zimbabwe in terms of disgrace.

Money aside...

Rooney has won 4 PL titles, 2 carling cups and a champions league plus other sh*t ones, chances are he would of won none of that here. So yeah I'd forgive him.

It's a difficult one mate.

All down to context really isn't it?

Lets take emotion from it for a moment and appreciate at the end of the day - it's a professional, short career.

In any career, you expect talent to wish to move on at some stage.

Take Lescott for instance.

He was offered the same job, with greater prospects (Honours), closer to home (He lived in Manchester) on greater pay (A player who when at Wolves nearly saw his career ended). He has no fundamental ties to Everton - is it any great shock he wanted to go?

I agree with all that.

I'm not fussed on Pienaar anymore, he's a good player for us, but he's vastly over rated. i think Miralles on the left is a far superior player. Pienaar is tried and tested with Baines though, and links up well with him. In central midfield he's utter gash. Can I say that again, he's utter Gash!! So nope, not forgiven him otherwise I'd not take every opportunity to say he's utter GASH! Ok maybe that's a bit harsh, he's ok on the left where he belongs, but i'd rather Miralles there and LD on the right and Peanuts firmily on the bench until callled upon

Lescott, I'd never want him back. Hope to goodness he never comes back either

I can forgive Rooney, young lad, and had a few run ints with the manager. When you're young you can make mistakes and do silly things. I'd have him back provided he's not 35 and looking for a final payday before retirement

Are you able to ban your self? ........... I'll probably get banned for that

Ah Brennan!!!! Why did you have to mention that, now I need to add Rooney to my unforgiven list now! ffs! I was happy to blank that nightmare out of my life once and for all

With Pienaar at least though, he realised his mistake in leaving and did something about it.

And is Lescott about to do the same?

Before he settled his dispute with Moyes I'd have disagreed with Rooney coming back but now that that's all water under the bridge and they've mended their fences, I'd have him back like a shot. Was it a case of 'very young and ill advised'?

Closer to home? Really? Would you really care about how far you had to travel earning £50k or whatever a week it was?
