Forever Everton was written by Graham Gouldman of 10cc fame. He was a prolific songwriter in the 60s, but seems to have been in a ' take the cash' moment before 10cc started,. He is a Manc, and had no affinity for us, but seems to have inserted enough cliches for it to stick,. Still have my vinyl copy.

And still picking up royalties. Seem to remember someone asking about it on Swop Shop, and he said he wasn't really a football fan, but after Chelsea brought out 'Blue is the colour', everyone wanted their own song. I agree it was a well written song for a quick throwaway.
