Apologies in advance for bringing this topic here today, but I've been wanting to talk about this for while with my fellows on this forum.

Everton FC are like my family. I was born in the Czech Republic and I still live here. Still I grew up watching our games, playing computer football games as only EFC, always went training with my Everton kit in my local football club here. I love hearing, reading and talking about long stories about the history of the club, the battles, the social issues, the culture of Merseyside and Everton position in it, the greats. I try to meet with other our fans here in my country, to watch games together, to take a trip to watch us in England once in a while.

And now I have a felling, that if you love watching the game and love watching Everton, great, but it becomes a problem when you go against that history and think you as an overseas adopted fan have equal entitlement as the families who have been going to the match for the last fifty, even hundred years, equal weight and importance as the kids growing up around Goodison. I always feel bad when I see our fans laughing at LFC fans that they are plastic, Norwegians, etc.

So I wonder, what is your real view on foreign Everton fans? Do you see foreign Evertonians as one of us or do you see them as an other type of Everton fans? Do you see them as a positive or negative for the whole club? Thanks for your opinions.

Doesn't matter where in the world you're from mate, you're one of us because you're an Everton fan and that's all what matters.

I am an Irish Blue might not have been born in Liverpool but I've been blessed to call myself and Evertonian, we all well outnumbered in this country by Reds and Utd fans but I wouldn't change it for the world. I cringe at times when I see us foreign fans get stick, don't appreciate being labelled in the same bracket as kopites in any shape or form.

Fair dues to you for following Everton and travelling to goodison that takes effort and expense. Keep spreading the Gospel of Everton.

Mate the gripe Liverpool and there big following in Norway ect is the fact that they are purely glory hunters,in your case nobody can accuse you of glory hunting i know many big Evertonians who have no connection to Liverpool.
Evertonians may be from the same city as Liverpool but we are an entirely different breed I personaĺly would welcome supporters like yourself with open arms.
Of course when we achieve world domination we may attract more international support but i can live with that.

Very good topic my friend. I'm new to this site and I am enjoying it, but I have had some people ask who I am, as if I have been banned from here and it seems as if someone from Croatia following Everton is crazy. It made me feel as if this site is not used to people from outside the UK supporting Everton. Everton has many fans over the world, and they should be embraced.

As long as you're not from the Wirral then you're sound by me.

There are/have been quite a few of nationalities on this site. Personally never experienced any problems with the 'locals' on here. Well, all except one, but he was banned swiftly by the then mods. Exactly the opposite really, always felt very welcome at this place. Why shouldn't we be considered just as real Evertonians as the UK born and bred ones? I know what I feel for this great club. Yes, I'm born in The Netherlands, but found out I was a chosen one at the age of 13. Never looked back since

Edit: Even made some real life friends on this site
