Mutzo Nutzo

Player Valuation: £70m
I went Foraging at the weekend in the local countryside. We found loads of wild garlic, which I made into a soup which was yummy:-

Has anyone else done any foraging (and I'm not talking about behind the kitchens at Fazakerley Hospital - Sharpy lad)

recipe for Mutzo's wild garlic soup

Ingredients
Large handful of wild Garlic leaves (Foraged or stolen from neighbours garden)
4 small potatoes skinned and chopped
1 stick of mouldy celery found at the bottom of the fridge
a sliced up chilli (minus seeds)
one onion
a pint of chicken stock
some single cream

Method
Remove any garlic flower heads and bulbs (Yes Chico gets everywhere)

Wash the wild garlic twice under cold water

Blanch the Garlic leaves in boiling water for 20 seconds then plunge into ice-cold water (This is too ensure all the dog piss is off the leaves!)

Fry the potatoes/onions/celery/chilli in a little olive oil and butter
After 10 minutes add in pint of warm chicken stock

bring to the boil, and simmer for 10 minutes

add the garlic leaves and simmer for a further 7 minutes

blitz in a food processor and stir in a little salt/pepper and finally serve with a swirl of single cream

Add Crusty Bread - yum yum!

That sounds top, can't beat a good soup

I'm a terrible cook, but I did pick some wild fruits from a field to make a crumble the other week! That was possibly the least manly thing I've ever said

It was ace - gonna learn all about mushies too

they are all edible, just that you won't wake up after some of them, and you will need one of these

I'll carry my tools in it - (Trowel, mini pitchfork, and book on mushies) they daren't mess with "The Forager"

This recession is getting out of hand.

I had a can of redbull and some high calibre painkillers for lunch.
