He who forgets history is destined to repeat it. Some good history authors i read are Bernard Cornwell and Massimo Manfredi. Fictional characters but based in real historical events. Brilliant authors and you get a true sense of the Saxon. Roman. Medieval period they're based in. Definitely recommend them to any history lovers

The History of the Ice-cream cone ?

Agreed.

Personally I'm most interested in The Dark Ages/ Early Medieval Period and the likes of the Norse Sagas, but I'll enjoy anything from Alexander the Great until the 1st World War.

Right, where are these slanderous rumours coming from, that's both you and Fester saying I dip the rounds you monster.

Love history me, mostly WWII to be honest. Reading a good book by Anthony Beavor on D-Day now, got Berlin next.
