Player Valuation: £70m
For the past 2 years I have been working on a project to raise money for our former players foundation by interviewing players and putting their stories into publication by working on a book titled "FOR THE BOYS IN THE ROYAL BLUE JERSEY"
At last, the first volume of 4 (I hope) will soon be ready to order. (Start of the new season hopefully)
I have recently put the Andy King and Tony McNamara interviews on this website for reason 1, because I thought it was appropriate because of their deaths, and secondly, to give you an idea as to what they the book will be all about.
The book will be available on this website (cost unknown as yet) and I have permission by the Everton heritage society to sell copies in the church on match days.
I hope that many true fans that love the club will support this cause and think of our players past and present. I'm hoping to arrange that I can arrange for some of the older players to attend a book signing In St Lukes.
I will indeed keep you all posted on this project.
Watch this space, it's well worth having in your collection, trust me.
I will be notifying other Everton forums too.

Steve has put a massive amount of work into this project tracking down ex-players all over the country, then travelling to meet them.
It deserves to be a great success. Good luck.

Ste, good luck with this mate. I know how hard you've worked on this and I also know how much you help fellow blues in general. A true blue.

Very much looking forward to this book.

Count me in for a few copies.

I remember terry curran when he initially came on loan in the 82/83 season. I didn't know much about him at the time, other than he was apparently a bit of a journeyman. He was brilliant, exactly what we needed at the time. A game we won 5-0 against Luton, in particular, sticks in my memory.

Everyone was made up when we bought him permanently, but then he never got anywhere near those heights again. He played in the FA Cup semi at Highbury in 84 but then never played in the final. Only a bit part player when we won the league the year after too.

Not sure what questions you'll be asking him, but I'd be interested to know his thoughts on his loan form for us, and why he never looked any good once he'd signed for us permanently.

Tremendous stuff mate, great effort and for a really worthy cause.

You're a great blue, not only for your dedicated support of Everton travelling up and down the country and this project, but for all the assistance you give Blues on here and elsewhere in getting tickets for matches.
