Footballers squaring up

Stupid booking for those involved most of the time. If they can stop themselves sparking each other, they can stop themselves going head to head for no real reason.

Proper mince. If you're going to do it, do it properly.

should follow suit of the ice hockey and have mandatory fights every game and a sin bin so they sit off for 5 minutes afterwards.

Fighting isn't mandatory in ice hockey Ash, and when it happens, it's nearly always between two guys recognised as the relative teams enforcers.

There are occasionally pre-determined fights, sometimes right off the first face-off, but again these are 99 times out a 100 between enforcers and then the rest of the game goes off without incident.

The kind of neanderthal behaviour of a yesteryear is very rare these days, even in the NHL.

The most infamous here in the UK was a full-blown bench clearance in February 2001 in a game between the Nottingham Panthers and arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers... see the link below...

Perhaps it may not be a necessity in the game but form an outsider perspective, when Pro evo remove diving from their game because of the unsportsmanlike connotations and EA sports still add a button to instigate fights in their NHL games, it gives a bit of a impression it is a more regular occurance haha

I suggested the comparison in jest tbh, seeing as though footballers are mainly big girls blouses at the best of times, imagine if one of them actually hit the other!
