What are the conditions for football tickets in England regarding allocation. E.g Can an Arsenal supporter purchase a ticket in the Everton home section and sit there

Yup. Unless you had a kid and sat in the family section, but you still need to be polite and mindful of your surroundings.

I mean you can do it as long as it isn't obvious that you are supporting the other team which is blooming hard.. sit on your hands when goals are scored etc

There's always Arsenal fans in the Paddock/Lower Bullens when we play them, they're usually foreigners. Our stewards tend to take a common sense approach and they're allowed to stay as long as they don't wear colours and keep themselves to themselves.

Most clubs state that it is forbidden in terms & conditions.

Colours would just be plain daft.

Even in Derbies these days folk are ejected after goals just for being there, even seen it in the Family Enclosure.
