Decent level that mate. Any of the Norwich lads you played with get a crack eventually?

There were a couple of lads. Main one was Danny Mills. There was a lad called Adrian Forbes who made it into the first team but wasn't there that long, same for Adrian Coote and Che Wilson. They played a few games for lower league sides but no-one who really cracked on

Penlake Juniors (a couple of games in the very early 1990s).

Wasn't very good, so jacked it in. Wasn't for me. Can't say I've ever missed it. Enjoy watching footy far more than playing it.

No idea Mills was at Norwich. Just shows the attrition rate of young players who fall at the final hurdle doesnt it? Bet you a gazillion pounds that you, and them lads you mention would be head and shoulders above any local lads on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Not sure about that now mate, id be knackered just putting my kit on these days. It was a shame really as after being released i was gutted, my old man wanted me to try at places like Colchester, Cambridge, Ipswich etc but by 17 id just found beer and nightclubs and so playing for the local semi pro sides was better as i could still go out on the lash. Big big mistake looking back...not saying i would have made it at the other clubs but wished id given it a go now!
