Finally finished my first season with Everton, coming fourth with a *bit* of cheating (could not beat Stoke away no matter how many times I replayed it, so had to Destroy their team in FMRTE!). Looking for some big name signings to please the board and kick on for next season, Marin is TLed for 6.25m, wants 55k. Has anyone signed him before? Is he worth it? Got 4/4.5 stars from my scouts, but his avg rat last year was pony.

In season 2023/24 in my game. Was with Everton until around 2019 where I took us from above mid-table to winning the league. Only managed it once in that time, and was unable to win the CL - finishing runner up twice - but left with a team full of amazing youngsters to take the Real Madrid job which was available. Since then, after a difficult first two years, we've won the league three times on the trot and the CL twice in a row. My transfer budget at the start of the recent season was 450m with a wage budget of 5m a week, but I hardly need to dip into the funds. Most of my players are now regens, although I do have ter Stegen in goal who most people will know. Getting a bit bored now so might try and win the lot again this season (won the clean sweep last year, I think six trophies) then head back to England, maybe even with Everton to regain our rightful place in World football.

So I've always suspected that the FM series had a habit of cheating, ie some games the oppo always seems to score/win no matter what you do, and now I'm sure... Just played away to Southampton and took a 43rd min lead through Victor. Then, midway thru the second half it goes into the tactics screen, even tho I didn't click anything, and I can only Confirm Changes, not Cancel or Undo Last. Then I notice the score says 1-1, even tho I've seen no goal, there's nothing on the timeline at the bottom, and the live table still shows me with 3 points. Thinking it's a glitch I play on, only for, in the 93rd minute the score to change to 2-1, but same as before. Leave the game, click continue and then the 'real' results/table shoes me having lost. So I click on the game and try to view the highlights and it shows Vics goal and then just stops. Wtf??? @(

So in more news no one cares about - about a game that is about to be superceeded a second time, I just smashed Bayern and Napoli 5-1 Ag each and am into my first CL Final with the mighty Blues. Duffy is a beast. Also stuffed L'pool 5-2, and had some corking late wins against the Arse and Newcastle. Anichebe is annoyingly too quite decent enough to get rid of.... scores about 1 in 3 and gets nearly as many assists!
