Player Valuation: £500k
Keep starting a new game too frequently, can't get in to one. Any suggested teams I could start a season with?

And does anyone know any wonderkids or good players (don't be saying the obvious)!
:)(y)

Never ever get into the habit of playing as Everton. I repeatedly start new Everton games and give them up. Best games to start are in the lower leagues.

None with anything significant that I know of. You could always edit the database using the editor or if you're already in game you could download the FM Real Time Editor (FMRTE) and edit it that way.

Basically:

1) Start FM10, load your save game.
2) Start FMRTE, click the load button
3) Once it loads use the search button to search for players, staff, clubs etc. and edit to your heart's content.

Important things to note

1) Club finances cannot go over 2 billion. It will result in a bugged negative balance. Besides that you can freely edit finances. Don't forget the balance as well as the transfer budget.

2) If you change a players stats they will not stay at the level you set them to. This is because of the complex relationship between attributes and the CA figure (Current Ability)

Basically every player has a score out of 200 for CA and PA (Potential Ability). CA is the sum of all their attributes based on weightings for their position ie. 1 point in finishing costs a lot more for a striker than it does for a midfielder. The formulae and weightings are not really known. It's best not to edit a player's attributes or CA unless you want a couple of months of instability as the game readjusts his attributes to fit the CA.

If you want to make a player better it's best to get a young player and edit his PA so he will get better with time.

Attributes you can freely increase without fear of causing CA problems are: Aggression, Flair, Determination, Natural Fitness (Is not free for goalkeepers), Injury Proneness, Consistency, Dirtiness, Important Matches, Versatility, Adaptability, Ambition, Loyalty, Pressure, Professionalism, Sportsmanship, Temperament and Controversy.

This is the same for staff.

I like going teams with a bit of money to spend, any lower league clubs with a bit of cash?

I normally do this. I quite like to look for a club with a big rep but that is underperforming or dropped down a league, generally abroad tho.

Actually started a new game a few days ago (with Everton again as it always corrupts my saves when i play with Newcastle or Leeds, but i guess that's only fair cause of my poor choice...)

If starting at the lower leagues, sign free transfers - Viduka will play for any team if they can supply a wage of around £6k; the others you can find with the search filters in game, or internet.

Also, loans. Get the max of them. I'd suggest looking at Everton (Coleman, Baxter, Gosling) and other EPL teams. If you've got money for the loans - try Cristaldo, one of the best young strikers in the game, but they want around £1m loan fee.

If you got around a £1-1.5m to spend, i can suggest a few cheap players -
Ivan Bandalovski (right back) is good - you can get him really cheap - 100-300k, but after the first season his contract finishes anyway;
Dimitar Makriev (striker) - usually doesn't cost more than £600k, but has ACE stats and used to score often on my other save (also with Everton, not to say Newcastle or Leeds in the lower leagues);
Seamus Coleman is very cheap and very good, guess i don't have to tell you where he plays;
Antunes from Roma (left (wing) back) - £350k release clause usually - good player, but is better if re-trained to play as a midfielder or attacking midfielder.

***I don't think that the Bulgarians will appear tho if you haven't got your settings on it to load Bulgaria and/or your database isn't set on 'large'***

If you've got more money - Sergey Krivets from BATE Borisov, but be quick with him. His price varies from 1m to 2m. Ace winger for that money! Usually PSG or some other French/German teams get him.

Aron Gunnarsson
- DM/MC/AMC - 1.2m from Coventry, same level as Rodwell, if not better at times.

John Fleck
- AML,C / FC - about 2m, develops into a world class player IMO.

Marquinhos (easier to find him if you search for Palmeiras) - 3m - class act winger, if you stick with him for a longer time you'll get a huge profit off him, or will be a star player. But if you want "instant star" - Krivets, and save this guy for later.

I wish they'd had these type of games when I was at school, back then, computers were at a very fundamental stage, and Internet was something you would take out to sea to get some sardines, last manager game I tried was LMA manager from around 2003, I actually got quite bored with it after a short time, so I don't think I'd be mad about any improved versions.

There was a football manager game from over twenty years ago that was very basic that I was hooked on for a time, it was on the old Commodore or Amstrad, each season was about 16 league games, and the FA cup, nothing else.

I once had Stockport go from the old 4th division to 3rd in the top flight and win the FA cup, I was like pigs in sheet with that.

Wild Times.
