Some player Signori was. Sensational striker who really was a handful. Loved the way he played the game. Pace, finishing and as good as any on free kicks/pens.

Claimed to wear boots a size smaller than his feet were, squeezing his feet into the boot because to him, it gave him more control and feel of the ball. Such a shame he was slightly injury prone at times.

Signori was amazing and massively underrated. He had such a powerful shot and was a volley king. He won less than 20 caps for Italy which is absolutely shocking. He went to World Cup 94 but was used really deep and of course my country Ireland won that game, Paul McGrath had signori in his pocket, sign of a world class defender that he could manage signori.
Met Paul McGrath once in my work in a pub (he wasn’t drinking ?) in 2009 and reminded him of bepe and how good he was at lazio that showed how special Paul was

Arrigo Sacchi that mate. Whatever Sacchi reasoning was, he would really only play him as a winger on the left. Rarely did he play in his preferred role.

Yes that’s right he was playing him on the wing, but he’d be expecting him to track back and all. Signori was like shearer, feed him the ball from the wings and he would score all day long
