Best era of football and league in my lifetime. the premier league is apparently the best now but it doesnt come close to the quality of late 80’s to early 2000’s serie a.

See during the 90s there, every club basically had a marquee player

Even Brescia had hagi playing there (imagine someone like de Bruyne playing for Burnley , that’s the equivalent ?) and then of course baggio later on

I was a firm advocate. I used to watch Gazetta on a Saturday morning before I went off to play myself in the afternoon.

I even wore Lotto boots.

At one point channel 4 has football Italia, NFL Highlights and transworld sport all on one after each other . Then off to goodison .

I’ve always liked Milan have a soft spot for Napoli.

but Fiorentina, lazio , parma , Genoa , Cagliari and inter all had some beautiful kits

Cagliari have a lovely one with a lace collar, made by Umbro, looks like an England kit from around 93/94. I was watching it on eBay for ages, it’s probably still there

My brother used to send away to world soccer and get all the serie a season review tapes and 101 great goals videos . He ordered some boss shirts too , lazio and inter spring to mind
