This may blend in with "your earliest memory" thread. apologies in advance.

So heres the score....

I'm 5 years old, wandering round Woolworths with my Dad after school...which was the next best thing to Toys'R'us...

When I spot football figurines, in their green packaging subbuteo style..."Dad, dad, can I have one, please, please...?", "okay then pick one.."

I remember clear as day, picking this off its rack and looking in amazement...

I don't remember those? They look sweet though. You still got them? Are those yours in the pics?

Funnily enough, my cousin and I are thinking about starting up a Subbuteo league again! Ha.

Not mine i'm affraid, but was talking to my mate the other day, and couldn't fine any trace of them anywhere....

after a long search, i found these on the net still for sale for about $11...

amazing stuff.

Do a search on Subbuteo stuff. You can still buy the stadium bits...and the old European Cup...I used to have the orange Tango addidas balls...
 
Do it! I wish I kept all my old stuff like that, especially all my old Subbuteo

My uncle used to paint really old war figures etc with a magnifying glass, I remember he used to pimp the Everton teams for us back as kids with sponsors and names =)

Someone told me they still do Subbuteo, I know you can get old stuff off eBay
