It astounds me how so much time, effort and money can go into engineering a ball. And not just any ball, but one that reacts randomly to every kick.

Done a piece on this today in my football magazine for PE work.
 

My favourite ball as a youngster (can't find a pic) was a white Mitre footy that was similar to a netball/basketball. Think they were called molded. Loved them because they were great in any weather and would last ages even when used reguarlarly on concrete/tarmac.
