Yeah but I can't excuse this fella. Longest I ever did was 14 hours. That was a single shift though, I used to have to do seven nights of eleven hours, on the trot and often with no break at all, all week. The first night was soul destroying but the takeaway food on the last one was great.

One patient punched me then put in a complaint about me - I won the day, obviously. I've been kicked in the ribs by one patient, and swung at with a wet floor sign by another - abuse to health professionals is really quite common. I've never retaliated though, obviously, and would not.
