Food in the fridge

I have just found out that some people keep packs of biscuits in the fridge once opened.

They even talk about the 'fridge biscuit' which is the top biscuit which takes in all the smells from the fridge and gets thrown away.

Any nutters here keep food items such as biscuits, crisps or bread in the fridge.

If so, why?
