On Wednesday is my daughter's birthday so I'll be doing lots of baking with her the next few days. We are planning on baking Chocolate cookies, we are also going to try a new recipe to make gingerbread spiced snowflake cookies. Then for her birthday I will be baking her a peppermint chocolate cake filled with candy cane Swiss meringue buttercream and topped with dark chocolate peppermint glaze

I have never tried a mince pie but they sound delicious. How did they come up?

I use this recipe, but I make my own mincemeat. I had some jars leftover from last year ; due to the alcohol in it it keeps and matures very well and is deliciously fruity.

A piece of piss ; just put the flour and fats in a food processor, turn on and add water bit by bit until the pastry comes together. Then follow the recipe.

Thanks I am tempted to add this recipe to my baking list for this week. I have the feeling that my mom would really enjoy them. She is also has requested a bread with raisins so I'm on the look out for a good recipe too.

Just buying random snacks and stuff. Wifle keeps chucking in things like Heston finest stollen, Hungarian pudding wine and mad vintage cheeses, I’ve never seen so much cheese, she knows about my cholesterol, I’m thinking she’s trying to see me off.
