Foo Fighters commemorate their 20th anniversary by documenting the eight-city recording odyssey behind their latest studio album, as the band tours America.

A few minutes in to episode 1 and it could be a very good documentary series.

Don't mind the first single they've released, it's the same old Fooeys, another tune that I'll probably forget in 12 months.

I'm loving the series so far as well - but then I thought I would seeing as they're one of my favorite bands. I like Something From Nothing best so far. Can't wait for the next one!

It's defo interesting. Dave Grohl...what a talent. Who woulda thought it back in the Nirvana days. For me they've not been great since The Colour and the Shape, but still a good band.

Never been a fan, find them pretty bland but their new song with that funky bassline is just terrible.

Swear the only thing that is keeping them going is the fact Dave is meant to be a really nice chap.

They're a band of great songs but not great albums - apart from their greatest hits. The documentary is definitely worth a watch though as it explores the music scene of each city.

First album is excellent, second is a very well produced, polished light rock album. From then on its just become more and more radio-friendly pop-rock. Similar path to RCHP, I guess.

Northwest gig is Lancashite Cricket Ground (Emirates Old Trafford) 27th May. Tickets go on pre-sale November 19 and on general sale at 10am on November 21.
