Writing songs saying that X player is better than Arteta stinks. IMO. He deserves respect for his 6 years of service to the club, not degradation.

Of course there will always be idiots who expect a player to never leave Everton even when they have the chance to play some of the best teams in the world, when the club is going nowhere.

It's more of how he left, leaving it until the last minute. Dont get me wrong, i'm of the belief he was told he had to go. But it's just the timing that's upsetting.

Same with Rooney IMO, dont think he wanted to go either. Just the timing hurt people.
