FM 2016

To time consuming, and takes ages to get through pre season. Is this coming out on tablet as this would be easier to play a game while watching the television.

Quite like the things in there, hope it's good.

2015 wasn't that great, but it had some small steps in a good direction. Hope they're bigger this time around, like.

Want a reason to be glued to Steam after work, so praying it's good.

With 2015 I'd be surprised if I checked and I had more than 10 hours played time since I got it on release. It was that offputting to me - made me miss FM11.

The new Draft mode looks like something I'll put a lot of time into online.

I usually buy FM the day of release but I think it crosses over with Fallout so I think FM will have to wait.

I haven't bought it DoR for ages. Always much better to wait, let them iron all the bugs etc out, plus get it cheaper ;)

I just like to pre-order it, get a save made on the beta and go from there but think I'll wait this year.

Sure it was about 12 quid on the Steam sale over christmas.

I posted this in "Computer games" thread, but another user said it would be better to move it here and since I haven't got an answer for few days, I hope it's not a problem to just quote my message.

Is anyone here playing Football Manager? Is it much better than FIFA career mode or is it just more detailed? I tried playing it, but it really feels boring to me and that puts me off every time. I simply stop playing it after a month or something. What should I, as someone who played 1h of FM and like 3000 hours of FIFA career mode (over 5 years or something like that), do to make myself entertained in that game like I see alot of people are? It's pretty much seeing figures move (I prefer 2D while we are at it) and that's it for me. I don't exactly understand tactics and to be fair, seems like "all out attack" and "park the bus" work so much better in FIFA than similar tactics do in FM. It all looks really complicated in main menu and I just get lost quickly. Would prefer some real advices over jokes, banters and funny comments.

Well, you said you don't like/understand/enjoy the details and tactics that much, and FM is all about small tactical tweaks, details, role changes, and so on, as well as timing of said changes and stuff like that...

It's hard to enjoy something when you really don't understand the way it works/affects the game.

Anyways, I watched loads of tutorials and beginner videos yesterday, and even though I am all about learning to play by myself, I simply had to do it in this case. Picked City for the first career as I am still not familiar with lower-leagues and players that are there and it really is pretty fun so far. Took me 2 hours to finish preseason last night and I can say I enjoyed it alot. Have loads of time to learn the game even better before FM16 comes out, will try some sort of Road to Glory when that happens.

I miss these days....
