Would it of been cheaper just to remove the glass top - I was thinking of getting a cooker with one on .....

Then thought with my wife nothings safe proof - I declined & went for an open top - the way things are made nowadays easily broken .,....

My favorite thing about this thread is that I learned that you all call a stove top or cook top (or even more simply a stove) a hob. Fascinating to just learn this after 14 years on here plus real life English mates.
