Hi there,

I will fly in next month to watch the home game against Cardiff on the 15th of March. This will be my first time at Goodison, so would like to know what part of the stadium, you would recommend to sit in?
I will be on my own, so would like a part with a great atmosphere b)

And does anyone any recommendations for a good (Everton) pub to visit before and after the game?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Got mate, I am sure you will get good advice on your visit.

Where are you based? and why are you a blue? :)

i hope you enjoy your day today mate. Villa coming to Goodison is always guaranteed to be a great game so youve picked the game well. Should be a cracker my friend

gwladys street around the midddle is best (gt4 gt5 gt6, towards the middle/back of the stand row t-ff)

pubs, get down country road....then onto the brick, then the winslow

enjoy mate

Thanks for all your replies! Think I will opt for Gwladys Street seating. Sound like that's the place to be :-)
Thanks for the info regarding Country Road pubs.. Will definatly try a few of them.

Coming over from Denmark. Became a supporter when Graversen came to the club, and have followed the Blues since. So I guess it's about time I come to Goodison!!

Maybe I'll see some of you there :-) Thanks for your help

Just for an alternative perspective, the view from the Lower Gwladys is absolutely crap and you will be surrounded by scallies. Some of which may be major league dickheads. There was once a time when that is what I wanted, but not any more. Other than the back of the Lower Bullens, I now consider the Lower Gwladys to be the least desirable part of the ground.

The Upper Gwladys has a much better vantage point (as long as it is not obstructed), and it still has a good atmosphere. Although, as said, Cardiff at home will not be the best atmosphere... unless we get angry.

I personally think you would have a better time in the Paddock, Upper Gwladys, Upper Bullens, Park End, Top Balcony and Main Stand (in that order) than you would in the Lower Gwladys.

I reckon you should go for the Paddock tbh.

Whenever I've sat anywhere other than the Lower Gwladys I've spent the whole match wishing I was in the Lower Gwladys. My lad's 7 and he's getting curious about other parts of the ground so we said we might watch one from the Upper Gwladys for a change.

Enjoy your visit Paposa, and good to see Tommy inspired you to follow the blues.

If you do choose the lower Gwladys, make sure you are nowhere near the back. It's loud as all hell, but you can't see squat,

Park End is always my recommendation. Guaranteed unobstructed view. But I've been an old man since about 21, so that's the sort of thing that matters to me.

Enjoy your first visit mate! No matter where you sit, as soon as we put one in the net, the roar from the crowd is the best thing ever

Limbs everywhere

I have had a ST in the Paddock for 6 years now, I recommend sitting there!

I had a ST in the Upper Gwladys for 10 years, and have only sat in the Paddock twice, but whenever I dream about Everton I am always stood in the Paddock. Decent view and it got well angry both times I was down there, lol.

An unobstructed Top Balcony view takes some beating IMO, but the atmosphere isn't great. Park End has some good views and a great atmosphere on its day.
