Amazing - same first game as me ;)

WBA at GP, Sept 1972, a 1-0 win, Joe Royle scoring. Just 7 years old, sat with my granddad, who had a ST, in the Upper Bullens near the camera gantry. Could see the game through the camera as it was being filmed. Shown on the Granada highlights programme on the Sunday afternoon.

It must have been in the mid 90s but I can't remember a specific first time at Goodison.

What I do remember is being in the Elm Tree from a very young age whilst my family members had their pre match drinks. :drunk:

First Game we played Burnley night game Alex Young scored with a header from corner kick against his cousin I think in goal for Burnley 1963/64 season I think

Actually the Walsall game was 4th round. We beat Palace at home in replay in the third round.

It was, believe me, when that Hincliffe free kick hit the back of the net, I went absolutely mental. One of my favourite ever Everton goals.
It was brilliant. Nearly dropped a very young mademoiselle Allezlebleus número 2 out of the upper stand. She was asleep in my arms aged about 10 months, I kid you not, while the bedlam of the second half comeback was going on!!! She has never quite got the footy like the other two!!!

-v- Blackpool (A) in 1970/71. Thousands of Blues (as you would expect) with the old Spion Kop being completely dominated. Was only about 12 years old and both an old mate and I were stood near the front when a 'lasher' came running past with a knitted blue and white scarf in his hand (had clearly grabbed it from an Evertonian) chased by about 6/7 Blues. He threw the scarf at my mate and because his leanings were more towards ManUre he gave me the scarf. It was only about three foot long as I guess it had been through the wash a few times but I kept that scarf on my wall at home for years afterwards. Remember it was mayhem both inside and outside the ground before and after with someone setting fire to a souvenir shop on or near the sea front. Think we won 2-0 with, unless I am mistaken, John Hurst scoring one of the goals.
