First English Football Game

So as some of you may know I am a new Everton and football fan. I remember the first time I watched them play on tv back in 2017 against Man City and completely fell in love. It's been a fun ride so far and I can say I've enjoyed learning a new sport.

This last Saturday I got to experience my first ever English game in person. Yeah the teams were Man U and L****p*** and it was only a few of the top players, but it was amazing. It left me with a huge desire to see more, and to see my blues in person. Which has now become a dream that I know I will achieve someday. You guys have no idea how jealous I am that you are so close to all that amazing football.

Also, my seats just so happen to be in enemy territory. I wore my Everton shirt with pride. Only a few comments from some English gentlemen but for the most part the American "fans" were oblivious.

you saw them score a hatfull too in a game you wanted them to lose, against an understrength team that didn't turn up.

you got a derby day experience without the travel or the hurt of Everton getting beat.

Actually it was really bad. I mentioned it to my Fiance a lot during the game.

My first one we lost 4-3 to United. 3 nil down. Then got it back level. Then still managed to lose.

Haven't seen us lose live in absolutely ages now though to be fair.

Boss comeback that game. That was a top utd side with Van Nistleroy. Rooney came off the bench if i remember rightly and ran them ragged. Even when they made it 4-3 in injury time Rooney still nearly scored
