First album given to me - Star Wars Soundtrack on vinyl. My brother dropped one of the disks the next day, traumatizing me. Still haven't embraced vinyl.

First albums (well casettes) I bought? All at once, via one of those old record/tape clubs... ZZ Top - Eliminator, Van Halen - 1984, and Survivor - Eye of the Tiger.

Can't remember first album but first single was Stray Cat Strut.

My best mate & I designed a dance routine to it. My poor Dad had to stop watching Ian Botham lead an unlikely comeback against Australia to come watch us perform it in my friends living room and then fake enthusiasm for an encore performance.

Mine was either this or Slippery When Wet. Then again there was the kid who happened to leave his 1984 at my house, and then the License to Ill bootleg. They all are beginning to run together now.
