BT dont supply static ip addresses so a router/firewall config is a royal pain. You could though use a draytek modem and the firewall will get the DHCP address and you could the configure your rules. Maybe a zyxel easy enough with a web interface. Or you get a billion router like mine. It does adsl (all variants) and ethernet. Also it has software which detects noise and sets the optimum values for you synch speed to get the best connection rate and more importantly sustain it.
