Now that were boss again and possibly the best team in the world what do people think are our chances of finishing sixth are? Looking at Newcastle's last 7 games I can't see them losing 5 but deffo 4 of them. So if they get say 7 points from these 7 games that means we would have to win 6 of our 7.

Swansea v Newcastle
Newcastle v Bolton
Newcastle v Stoke
Wigan v Newcastle
Chelsea v Newcastle
Newcastle v Man City
Everton v Newcastle

Ah bollocks to it were not gonna win 6 out of 7 but there's nothing like a few impressive wins under our belts to put me in an optimistic mood. I was all doom and gloom late/early this year.

It is unlikely. But if we keep up a good run and the slip a bit, it could come down to the last day of the season at Goodison against them.

We don't have a cat in hells chance.

Fa cup win is what I want and if we finish above redsh*te all the better.

Doubt it's possible. Especially as we've got the cup to worry about. If we're 3 points behind them on the last day of the season before the game and level on goal difference I'll take that like.

to be fair, something will not be right if we managed to qualify for europe through the league ahead of them, they've had a really good season and we have been super gash for the majority of it, can't believe we even have a chance. Expect them to beat bolton and stoke, and probs wigan away, maybe we could pressure on them this weekend

Newcastle are one the teams I really don't like but hats off to them they've been good. Even when they've had blips this season it hasn't lasted long.

Think most people have been waiting for Newcastle to fall away at some point but in fairness to them they haven and to be level with Chelsea is a fair achievement for them at this stage of the season .

The gap is prob that bit too for us to get past them , id be more than pleased with 7th given it now , there is more than just the rs below us who can catch us if we finish these 7 games poorly .

They've done monster signings and barring an injury crisis we can't catch them. Wembley is the way to go.

7th is the best we can hope for, unless Newcastle have some kind of meltdown

This. And by god, using that as a jumping off point for next year. Maybe we should just change all the calendars at the club to run from January - May.

The easiest way for us to get into Europe will be through the FA Cup but obviously we still want to finish as high up in the league as we possibly can. I don't think we will finish in the top 6 and I think that a top 8 finish will represent a good season for us (as long as we qualify for Europe through the FA Cup).
