I'm surprised with Baines to be honest, only last year I took my 5 year old nephew to Finch Farm and he signed his programme and was chatting to him for a while and our Liam told him about this jigsaw he had a problem with and Leighton was all excited about how he loves jigsaws. And, once he realised our Liam was from Kirkby and lived around the corner from his mums he came round to help him with the jigsaw.

He was the perfect gentleman untill our Liam got his packet of Jelly tots and Leighton asked for one but our Liam laughed and said no. That was it then, Leighton screamed " Don't you [Poor language removed] know who I am lad?? " then kicked the table with the jigsaw on and it went flying all over the ocky.

The players today, spoilt gets.

Has he still got the jigsaw? Aldo burnt mine.

People have good days an bad days. Must of just caught them on a bad day it happens. Last year a group of kids from community centre here in Ireland got invited over to meet players and watch a game. All the players were great and give them loads of there time. Except for Baines, he walked into the room put his head down and walked past them all. That's not a pop at Baines, as I said people can have bad days and there's only so many pictures you can sign, can't keep everybody happy

Get the impression Baines could live without the limelight/adulation to be honest, possible he's just not comfortable with the superstar status thing. What comes across as narky may just be that he's awkward with it.
