Friday - TV until around 11pm when you suddenly remember you haven't bought a present for the Silver Wedding Anniversary and leg it round the 24hr garage for a half price battered bouquet, an entirely unsuitable card and a box of Matchmakers.

Sadly this. Mixed in with putting up rails and curtains, calling the dry rot specialists and pest control when you find a rat the size of a wolf behind the kitchen cupboards. *This could just be my experiences/luck of moving home though.

Had this experience recently.

There was the slightly sweet stench of death hanging around the kitchen so we knew something had pegged it somewhere. Eventually found a very large and very dead rat between the back of a unit and the brickwork....not a pleasant job grabbing it, especially when it broke into two pieces.
