Fight to finish as high as possible or build for next year?

Style or substance?

More risk's for sure, showing faith in barkley from a deeper position, and besic too, Macarthy coming back makes that a bit more interesting, but the safety first barry should be fourth choice for now. A lack of balance is probably a bigger issue than safety first football for me, without balance you can't construct anything, you have no rhythm and become one paced. Stone will help massively with our play, and ideally another confident center halve will come in or galloway will step up at some point. But we should be looking to add more cut and thrust to our style rather than getting hung up on finding a way to scrape one nils wins, we are mid table, it's not the mid 90's, that doesn't mean we can't be a tougher more physical team, but managers who panic about taking risks will never make it to the very top, the best managers the very elite know that preperation only takes you so far, every now and then you will have to take a leap of faith
I will put you down for some sexy football then.

I mentioned a 'fallow season' a couple of months ago when we got caught in the starting gate.

I would defo support that approach. I could care less about finishing mid table as long as we sorted out the wheat from the chaff in this squad.

Depends on what you refer to as chaff and replace with what. Could be too many to replace.

Well we are capable of grinding out wins and picking up points or do we go to be entertained and enjoy the game whilst less of a guarantee of points? That's what the poll is for.

Atm we are doing neither, but I guess that was your point?

I guess guarantee points until we're safe then start playing that sexy, sexy football.

I picked cheesey footballs.

I don't care about where in the table we finish.

I want us to be fanatstic vs young boys and west ham. So the games in between I want us to use to get a winning team so we go into those games in a bit of form.

So if today convinced martinez not to ever play that system again, grand that's better than 3 points. But otoh if we don't win another game before the cups start up again, that would be pretty bad as we'd have no confidence.

So both, really.

I was referring to the periphery of the squad. Let's give decent runs to some of these players and see if we need to get real about them and punt them or keep them and promote them.
