FIFA will ban Russia

This begs the question of what FIFA's plans are to replace Russia in the playoffs next month, if any. They can probably weasel out of any contractual obligations with advertisers via a force majeure clause, but I doubt they'll want to when they can just plug Hungary in as the next Nations League group winner in line.

I do feel for the players, who are getting shafted out of the rewards for their hard work due to circumstances beyond their control. It had to be done, though.
