I love FIFA and will buy it day one but I can't understand any large amount of anticipation or excitement. The same with Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty 64.

They're new iterations of something you've already experienced. Glorified re-skins with a bit of fixing here and there.

I usually only get excited for new IPs or sequels to story-based games. That kind of thing.

To each their own though. And I don't mean to take anything away from these games, or FIFA. I'm sure it will be good. Even though our players will get jarg ratings.

They need to fix the online for it for me to really enjoy it. Every year they release a broken game and I've had enough of it to be honest. I'll probably rent it before I buy. It's over £40 in most places.

I do love RPGs like. Western and Japanese. I'm such a nerd.

Odd. I find the online to be smooth. I've played FIFA 09, 10, 11 and the 2010 WC edition on my 360 and they've all been good online.

Like I said; a re-skin. You mostly play it online (I imagine) so the fundamental game is the same. You just have different aesthetics, maps and weapons. And you say new eras, but then Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 and the newest CoD game are all modern shooters in the same era.

FIFA 12 will be better than 11 -- they are always better, that's why I buy them -- but there's not anything different enough you can do to make it that exciting a prospect. Not for me.

RFUS you're spot on, I don't get excited about Fifa but I do buy it consistently.

And yes our ratings are total jarg. I had to laugh once though, when I bought Fifa 11 Bily was 78 I think. Then I downloaded an update about half way through the season and he was like 74. Lolz.
