Despite his past I always find it sad to see fall from graces as catastrophic as his. He was ace.

Still though, imagine being absolutely [Poor language removed] at your job and still winning the champions league.

He had never broke 20 a season till he joined them

I read an interview with him somewhere that he got injured just before WC 2010 and he had a choice: either have an op so he could be fit for the WC but not be the same player again, or recover naturally, still be the same player but miss the world cup. He chose the op because he knew it would be his best chance of a WC winner's medal. Don't blame him really.

But he was only 23 when he joined them. Still scored pretty consistently for a youngster

He was good, but not as good as he was at Libpool, he was available for years and nobody took a chance in him.

He was playing full seasons from the age of 17, and was penalty and free kick taker.... And still didnt break 20.
