Ferguson accuses Tottenham over Zeki Fryers deal

I make no secret of the fact that I really admire Fergie as a manager ( probs as I have supported Aberdeen as my joke team...sorry..scottish team , since he was there )...... and again this time I believe he has a legit gripe.

Typical Fergie, Spurs have done no wrong here. They wanted the player in the summer, United wanted £6m compensation which Spurs refused to pay meaning the deal was cancelled. Standard jumped in to sign him but the Manager was sacked in November and the new one had no interest in keeping the player so made him available. Spurs were still keen on him so offered £3m and got the deal done

It's a bit dodgy, like. If you take an under 23 year old from a club when a contracts on the table you owe them compensation.

Getting a foreign club to snap him up and then sell him to you for cheap to avoid having to pay that compensation is you know bending the rules a little.

Using the rules to your advantage I think. A bit dodgy I suppose but just clever thinking more than sinister or wrong as far as I'm concerned.

If Ferguson was that arsed about Fryer none of this would've happened in the first place.

Fergie has been going a bit mental lately hasn't he, death by footballs, handshakes causing riots, not wearing a tshirt causing great embarrassment. One of the greatest managers ever, but could do with piping down a bit.

Utd only thought he was worth a £1500 a week deal but valued him at £6 million.

Utd basically cut their nose off to spite their face. Serves them right.
