Now I'm not sexist at all, but I do know that women are different to men in almost every way. They look differently, they do things differently, they behave differently.

Tonight I have been laying down some proper banter amongst my Liverpool male friends on Facebook. One person, my wife's friend who seemed to only become a big Liverpool fan post Istanbul, took offence at my banter on one of my mates walls.

I basically said "ha ha ha ha" to his thread showing his dismay. He did a similar thing to me when we got beat by Brentford, so for me it's fair game and I will take it as well as give it.

She basically ripped into me calling me a nasty prick and everything. At first I thought it was a wind up, but it seems not. My wife being in the middle doesn't really want to get involved, which is fair play, so I have tried to keep her out of it.

This girl completely over reacted, and I put it down to the fact that she just doesn't understand the banter that goes on between men, even if it wasn't footy related they don't understand the banter.

So my next question is, do women have the stomach for football? Or should they just stick to X-Factor and Loose Women?

Some.

I think you have no concept of a womans value or worth, you are a disgrace...

women should stick to washing and ironing....

Some women do, some women don't, no different from blokes really, i find after living round here for 22 years that not only being female but also being a blue i have had to defend our club week in week out, and believe me i enjoy it, i find half the blokes enjoy the banter, the other half can't take getting shown up by a woman, and cant stand their mates laughing at them, those fellas now tend to sit quietly in the corner while the others buy me a drink , win win i say xx

Yeah but women start going "My Steevie, or My Timmy" - **** off, there not male models, there burly men, and they should leave them for the men.

*dreams of Tim's new Tattoo*

I think gender's irrelevant. You either get football or you don't.

Yes, more men get it than women, but there's nothing genetically relevant to say why you might like it and why you might not. At least not from a proper fan's perspective -- i.e. people who appreciate the ins and outs of the games, the tactics, and not just the kinds who get pissed and use it as an excuse to get in a fight.

Anyway, I know women who get football, and love football. Do I wish more did? Sure, but footie's not gender exclusive, nor should it be.

You clearly never been married than have you mate? Then you will know women are different than what they look like in Club Magazine.
