Player Valuation: £225k
This guy was the boss last night - had everything. Headers, Tackles, Passing, Shooting, athletic, nimble (very much so for a guy of 6ft 4!)

Has everything needed to make it in the Prem. He absolutely dominated midfield, box-to-box all night. If we aren't tracking him now they must be mad.

He's everything we're looking for in the middle of the park.

Apparently we had an enquiry back in March:

I'm not saying we'll bid for him in the next few days, but we bloody well should! It's only a matter of time til someone else does.

we always let that time pass before doing anything though, the centre half with the [Poor language removed] up sideburns was quality too, not that we need one like

Onyewu I think at centre-half. He had a very good game.

Up until the last 3 sodding minutes the left back Dante had played brilliantly as well - was well impressed. Also Defour at centre-mid (only 20 and already captain) Same sort of build as Moutinho, same qualities too. Even the right winger Wilfried Dalmat was good last night - terrorised Liverpool down the right.

All in all Standard had an amazing work ethic, plenty of physical presence, but could play the ball around at times as well.

Fellaini will go on to a big club at some point - I just hope Moyes is still looking for a big centre mid, and that we actually have some money. No idea how much it would cost to get him , but if I had to guess, 8-10m would be worth every penny.

That team had lots of good players that I'd like to see us go for, most have been mentioned in the above posts!

Yeah I mentioned Fellaini's performance in another thread last night. I remember us being linked with him and being quoted 6m, part of me wanted Standard to lose last night, coz if they were in the CL, they would never sell him to us, but the other part (the 99.9% part) wanted the [Poor language removed] to get their asses handed to them. Jammy dodgers.

Anyways, I think if Moyes watched the game last night (not too sure how likely that is) then he would have been highly impressed, the kid could do it in the Prem, without doubt.
