Fees for our players

Is anyone else sick and tired of the fees being branded aroud in the press when our players are linked with other clubs. The other week it was Lescott being linked with Sunderland for 8 million, and today in the news of the world Tottenham want to sign Yakubu for 10 million. Yes we bought him for 12 million, he come in scored 21 goals in his first season, but we will sell him on for 10 million, get a grip! I would expect at least 20 million for the Yak, and especially off Tottenham who got 20 million for Robbie Keane and 32 for Berbatov.
 

None of the media know anything about Everton. Someone said in a post the other day that they were always a year behind on their knowledge about us, so true. I still haven't forgotten about Alan McInally saying that Gravesen was a big miss for us last season when he was injured. I mean seriously, what the [Poor language removed] is that.

In the papers though, there's only about 6 prices that it's possible for a player to cost, 5mil, 8mil, 10mil, 15mil, 18mil, 30mil. Anything else is just being fancy.
 

To be honest. I love it. It gets our club into the media, and then more people start hearing about us. That is how empires start.

When we get more recognition we get players knowing about us and coming to us.

I only worry when the media pay no attention.

That makes other players and potential investors not notice us.
