Player Valuation: £6m
If leicester end up offering a paltry 2 mil for the yakster, should we accept the offer or perhaps give the smiley another run in the first team? Is he past it?

I love the Yak and £2 million... what on earth can we do with that?

Seriously? That wouldn't buy you Emile Heskey.

It depends on his attitude;has he and Moyes had a fall out? If he want's to play for Everton and Moyes feels that he still has something to offer the club in terms of performance and goals then yes keep him else offload him eve if it is for peanuts relatively speaking.

It's not the £2m that's the issue, it's the £50'000+ a week he's on, considering he's clearly a striker past his prime. Which is hardly surprising for a 36 year old.

We got Pienaar, Yobo, Vaughan and Yak off the wage bill this season... but we still didn't bring anyone in.

What's the point in getting rid of players without replacements?

If getting rid of the Yak allowed us to get a top striker, because of his wage, and as such we had to settle for a lame fee like £2m, then I'd be all for it. I can't see it though. And loaning him out this season instead of Anichebe was the dumbest thing I've seen in a while.

Loaning out Anichebe wouldn't have netted us a loan fee, plus £50'000 a week saved till the end of the season. And I honestly can't say Yakubu would have made much, if any, difference to our season. Indeed, we went on our best run of form since he's left.

I know we're lacking firepower, but if Yak was here I really don't think he'd have provided it anyway. I'd rather have the £500'000 ish saved from his wages than two goals and a multitude of fat, half arsed pensioner performances.

Yak is past it, that injury isn't one which many people manage to recover from, and Yak is no exception. I'm all up for offloading our top earners, even for fees around £2m, I'd probably take £5m for the pair of him and Yobo just to save £100k p/w.

It was to my understanding that we loaned him out to Lee-chester as they would offer more than West Ham? A figure like £5m was being bandied about here i'm sure.

we rejected something like that, then west ham came back and offered 1.5mill.

We won't get more than 2 mill for him. Last year of his contract too I think.

He's come out and said he doesn't want to play for us now, wants to move on

Yakubu believes that his future lies with Leicester and it seems is heart is not with Everton any more. BBC reports that "Yakubu insists he would be happy to ply his trade in the Championship next season after the Foxes missed out on a play-off spot". Kind of sums up his level really, I've said it on this forum before, his level is the 'Championship' now but if Moyes thinks otherwise who am I to argue?

I would go for that, or we take the £2 million and sign a striker who is free, like Elmander
