Everton are getting me down at the moment so decided to return back to a favourite 'head-clearing' pastime - Going for a big walk at the weekend

Do people on here have a favourite walk that they return to whenever they need a boost? Went up Moel Famau a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it - Looking to go out again somewhere tomorrow

In no particular order :

Coniston Old Man - starts and ends with a fantastic bar in the Sun Hotel.

Helvellyn - can be t shirt and shorts at bottom and full Winter gear at the top. Popular, but still very challenging.

Great Gable and Haystacks - Buttermere - starts with a gorgeous easy walk around the lake and then becomes a real hike - stunning views at the top.

Buttermere the place is just heaven too.

Snowdon, any of the routes, out of season - too busy in the season and gets silly.

Holyhead Mountain - stunning views and one anyone could do.

The Wirral Way.

West Kirby to the Old Hadlow Road railway station.

Rucksack, sarnies and a flask of tea.

I've done that a few times in the opposite direction, but starting a bit further on at Hooton railway station & finishing at West Kirby, just over 12 miles(ish), so about 4 hours depending if you stop for a drink/scran (cafe near Thurstaston if open). Handy if you use the train depending where you live. Flat all the way, old railway track (Hadlow Road with rails still but not elsewhere), only cross a couple of minor roads. Further afield but not too far away if you've got a motor - any of the various routes around or near to Malham Cove/Malham Tarn or Ingleton - problem there though 'cos of all the people who go there for a walk! ??

I think you're confusing 'walks' with the three peaks challenge.

Round to my mates for a re-up on my bud supply.
The walk home is best...
