Always love going to see a good stand up. Over the years I've seen Billy Connolly, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Tommy Tiernan, Eddie Izzard, Ross Noble, Rich Hall, Reginald D Hunter and most recently Sean Lock and David O'Doherty. I tend to prefer the dead pan type or slightly eccentric / off centre ones.
Always feel there is difference between Irish/UK comedians and their American counterparts. The latter tend to be more rehearsed, polished and quite intent on delivering their set in order. Whereas the former often have a bit more ad lib / variation. Just an observation.
One of my favourites of all time was probably the late great Bill Hicks. Also quite enjoying Jim Gaffigan and Bill Burr on Netflix lately. Who else tickles your funny bone? God knows us blues need a laugh...
